He is on the verge of becoming the leader of the free world and will gain access to Air Force One. But how does Donald Trump, the billionaire real estate mogul and television personality, usually jet around?
Built in 1991, Trump’s Boeing 757 belonged to Microsoft founder Paul Allen before the billionaire bought it in 2011. The private Boeing is rumoured to be the 8th most expensive plane in the world, fetching over $100 million.
The jet is feature rich, including a bedroom, dining room and private guest room. There is also a bath with 24 – carat gold fixtures, along with an entertainment system with video and cinema room.
Flying the jet is not cheap. A one hour flight costs about $10,800, including fuel. Despite all this, Trump’s private jet is not as tall, long or wide as Air Force One’s Boeing.
Perhaps the future President will be happy to let the American people now pay for his travels.
