Travellers…meet Airfordable – a site that lets you pay for travel over time.
While at TravelBetter we do our best to find you the best holiday offers available, there’s no doubt travel can still be expensive at times. That’s where Airfordable steps in – a new tech start-up that lets you purchase a flight for a deposit upfront and pay off the rest over time.
All you need to do is find your flight from your favorite travel site, take and upload a screenshot of the flight details, lock in a deposit and you’ll receive an e-ticket after your last payment.
The company offers a closed-end installment plan for airfares to be paid in biweekly payment cycle for up to 3 months and all costs must be finalised before your departure date.
Great idea hey!? For the convenience the startup charges a pretty lofty fee though – anywhere from 10-20%, depending on demand, the date of travel, and ticket price.
Users can sign up for free and even receive $100 cashback on their first trip over $1,500.
Note, it’s yet to be determined if Australian consumers are able to use the service but we’ll keep you posted.
